Exercise Over 50 - Is It Worth It?

No one has enough time. Sometimes the things that are the most important to our physical and emotional health take a second seat to less important things.
It's not easy to find the time but after closer inspection it's important to note that exercise over 50 should have front row importance in our daily time schedule.
Once you decide to make the choice to forever challenge your thoughts of " I know it's important but I don't know what to do" or " I'd rather sit on the couch and eat Doritos and drink beer" then you're on the way to bigger and better things.
Your most important decision will be the one you make to just get started. Getting started with any fitness plan will soon pay exciting rewards.
Quite possibly the simplest way to get started on a new path to exercise and better health is to schedule 15 minutes to go out for a short walk.
Why a walk you say. Nothing good starts without action. The simple act of putting one foot in front of the other develops a moving forward momentum both physically and mentally.
What actually starts with this momentum. One of the biggest things is a belief that you can do something and a feeling that you are giving your body new strength and energy. Something so simple as starting to block off 15 minutes of your day for a walk can lead to bigger and much better things.
We all need a start. Many times the start is all we need.
Over time I've had the good fortune of helping people start their exercise over 50 programs. As long as you understand that it's your exercise program and there's no need to compete or compare yourself and your progress to anyone else the chances are that things will work out just fine.
As time goes on you'll find that you will grow your desire to add more things to your routine. In time you'll be able to do so much more and it all started by getting started.
You have a decision to make. Your health is in your hands. Exercise can be a sure fire way to add momentum to your desire to live a long, healthy, happy life. It's a choice that will bring you many happy returns.
Strength, cardio vascular fitness, and flexibility are all benefits of getting started on your exercise over 50 program.
You're never too old or out of shape.
